A Word From Annie

When I started blogging nearly one year ago, I vowed I would not use my blog (or art) to promote any political agenda or spew mine or others' opinions regarding anything political or social. That said, I'd love for you to watch this video that my daughter sent me. You'll see Annie Lennox (my fave female musician/artist) talk about SING, her HIV/AIDS activism, and generally empowering women. This, female empowering, is the reason for my decision to post the video.  With that, here is Annie Lennox:

You've probably noticed I haven't posted any Wednesday Wonderisms today.  Forgive me.  I have no excuses.

Please don't forget to check out the January dresses that are posted HERE

Toodles!

Thank you for sharing this Angela. That was a powerful and touching speech. Annie is so inspiring. I was lucky enough to see her in concert years ago...The dresses are all so beautiful. I am working on mine and hope to have it up soon!

I never would have thought of you as an HIV/AIDS activism supporter, but I'm glad you found the video inspiring. Love you.

To be honest I only chose to watch the video because I admire Annie Lennox. The aids problem in Africa I had put in the too hard basket.

But after watching this video I feel there is hope for Africa and it's people in the fight against the seemingly unending epidemic of aids. Thanks for sharing and I wish the SING project all the best.
